I have seen lots of bugs get marked as fixed this year, but the official 1.5.1 release is now almost 3 months old. When can we expect the next release? Any new features? |

The beta was released today, July 2 2012. The release notes have details. The purpose of the beta is primarily to get feedback on the hosting service, onVeracity.com. We expect to make only very minor changes in the released binaries for the final release. Great stuff, I have a burning desire to get some offsite hosting up and running for work. Is it planned to be possible to host on-site with the same authentication as well?

@Peterl Servers you run yourself supporting authentication won't be in this release, but are planned.

@Ian Olsen, I would be happy with a 1.5.2 that matches the latest nightly. There are a few bugs in 1.5.1 that still affect my team.

@justus87 then why not build the nightly and deploy it to your team?

@Arne Mertz, It gets us out of cycle with the normal releases and requires uninstall/reinstall to move between non-release versions. I also wonder if there is some reason why SourceGear hasn't released that latest 1.5.1 nightly.

@Jace Browning, the latest nightly would introduce some other bugs, because it's an intermediate state. Some of those are nasty, e.g. the broken work-item filters and the broken fast-import. I think that's one of the reasons why the latest nightly has not become 1.5.2 - things are on the move. (see Ians comment here) For example you cannot access closets that have been touched by the latest nightly with veracity 1.5.1
